Hope and uncertainty can exist together. Your feelings don’t have to follow a schedule.

You might feel hopeful in the morning and discouraged by the afternoon. An announcement, an appointment or a quiet moment can bring something unexpected to the surface. A changing feeling does not mean you are doing this experience wrong.
You can give people a simple answer, a fuller one or no update at all. “I’m not ready to talk about it today” is a complete response. You can also name what would help: company, a distraction, a meal or someone willing to listen without offering a solution.
When calendars, appointments and results occupy so much attention, it can help to protect an ordinary part of the day. A walk, a familiar song, a few words in a notebook or a brief pause can remain yours. It does not need to improve your mood to be worthwhile.
Your choices may change. Taking a break, continuing, stopping or considering another path deserves thoughtful support. Your worth is not tied to an outcome. If you need help holding the experience, a qualified professional and people you trust can be part of that support.
Try a brief practice, or explore the support that fits your next step.
