You can care for yourself while an answer is still outside your control.
Journal / Waiting & uncertainty
Waiting can take up more room than the calendar suggests. You may find yourself checking, counting, noticing every sensation or trying to stay busy. Rather than asking yourself to be perfectly calm, begin by acknowledging that this is a difficult space to inhabit.
Decide what feels useful to read and when it becomes too much. You can step away from a forum, mute an account or ask someone not to send advice. For questions about symptoms, testing or treatment, your own care team is the right place for individual guidance.
A familiar meal, a call with someone who listens, a short walk or an ordinary task can give a day a little shape. You do not need to fill every hour. Rest and distraction can both be reasonable choices.
Notice the floor under your feet or the chair supporting you. Let your breath stay natural. If your attention returns to the result, you can notice that and return gently to the room. A grounding pause cannot change the answer, but it can make a little room for you while you wait.
Try a brief practice, or explore the support that fits your next step.
